March of Dimes Blog 2025

This spring marked the fourth consecutive year that ASRC Federal teamed up with the March of Dimes in support of its mission to improve maternal and infant health. The company’s support and sponsorship of this year’s March for Babies charity walks helped the organization raise awareness and money to advance maternal health initiatives and research, education and advocacy efforts.

More than 260 ASRC Federal employees, friends and family members joined March for Babies walks organized in New Jersey, Washington, DC, Alabama, Colorado, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. Check out the photo album to view ASRC Federal teams marching for this important cause.

Why this Movement Matters

Julie Van Leunen, senior vice president of Talent and Workforce Strategy at ASRC Federal, served as the chair of the 2025 Washington, DC March for Babies. She kicked off the May 3 event at Nationals Park by thanking the walkers and volunteers for being part of this year’s movement.

“ASRC Federal employees put their hearts into serving our communities, our country and our over 14,000 Iñupiaq shareholders from the North Slope of Alaska. While pregnancy complications and preterm births can affect all women and babies – people of color, Alaska Native and Native American descent are disproportionately affected by these issues,” Van Leunen noted. “Supporting families throughout every stage of pregnancy and beyond through our partnership with March of Dimes is one way ASRC Federal hopes to make a difference for the health of all families.”

Some of our employees who participated describe why this initiative is important to them.

Giving Back to the Community

The company’s support goes beyond the annual March for Babies walk to include volunteer involvement and sponsorship of the March of Dimes’ Heroines of Washington event. Later this year, ASRC Federal President and CEO Jennifer Felix will be presented with the first-ever Legacy Heroine award by the March of Dimes at their 25th annual Heroines of Washington Awards Gala for her commitment to leading with purpose and helping to strengthen communities across the Capital region.
