Yes! Interns receive hourly compensation, and eligible participants will have housing, travel, and logistical support arranged and paid for by the program.

No prior DoW experience is required. However, an interest in national security, defense technology, or government service is encouraged.

Projects vary by location and may include engineering analysis, systems testing, data science, cybersecurity, modeling & simulation, and software development, among others.

While applicants may express interest in a specific location, final internship assignments are made by the TRMC Internship Program team based on range requirements, mission needs, available projects, and individual skillsets.

Selected interns may be placed at any participating MRTFB or affiliated TRMCi location to ensure alignment with program objectives.

Applicants should understand that applying to a specific location does not guarantee placement at that location.

Applications are reviewed throughout the recruitment and selection process, with interviews and selections occurring on a rolling basis. Initial selections are typically made in the winter, and additional opportunities may become available through the spring as placements are finalized.
