CUSTOMER MISSION
The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) is a component within the Department of Justice, comprised of six statutorily authorized offices and bureaus, that provides leadership, grants, training, technical assistance and other resources to improve the nation’s capacity to prevent and reduce crime, assist victims and enhance the rule of law by strengthening the criminal and juvenile justice systems. Their mission is to provide leadership, resources, and solutions with a vision of creating safe, just, and engaged communities. OJP’s four primary goals are crime prevention, to engage and empower, systemically improve the justice system, and delivering effective outcome-driven solutions.
OUR PURPOSE
The ASRC Federal team supports the cybersecurity triad of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems that enable the OJP to deliver a safer and more equitable justice system for everyone. The cybersecurity program forms the foundation to deliver the mission and a platform to pursue the vision. ASRC Federal provides innovation security and risk management solutions that are practical and effective based on best practices to meet standards of the Federal Government, OMB, DOJ, OJP, FedRAMP, and GAO FISCAM. We are helping OJP implement and continuously improve their NIST RMF program to manage security risks effectively and efficiently to information systems to promote continuous monitoring and authorization of information systems.
Our Solutions
ASRC Federal provides support to the full gamut of proactive and reactive cybersecurity services at OJP. Our work encompasses the Security Operations Center (SOC) including monitoring and incident response, Vulnerability Assessment and Management (VA&M), Security Architecture and Engineering, Identity Credentialing and Access Management (ICAM), Independent Security Control Assessment (SCA), Information System Security Officer (ISSO) support, Privacy Program support, Automation Data Analytics support, Audit and Audit Liaison support, and IT Security Policies and Procedures updates. We facilitate the integration of security requirements into the Enterprise System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to address security considerations in a cost-effective manner, provide vulnerability and configuration scanning, monitoring, management of incident response, education, and oversight.
Integrating the security information and event management (SIEM) and the hybrid cloud infrastructure for monitoring, detection, analysis, threat management, and incident response.
Conducted risk and vulnerability assessments, and solutions around ransomware, FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST RMF, A-123, and log management criteria.
Provide Security Architecture Review and Systems Security Engineering to identify and remediate risks in program systems with full POA&M management and evaluate the architecture of cybersecurity solutions.
